General Practice of Law Since 1973
Richard K. ("Rich") Brandt has practiced law continuously since 1973 in Allegheny and surrounding counties. He has tried cases in all Divisions of the Court of Common Pleas, Federal District Court, the PA Superior and PA Commonwealth appellate courts, and in numerous District Magistrate Courts.

He is a graduate of Allegheny College where he was Senior Class President and a Distinguished Military Graduate. Rich attained the rank of Captain in the US Air Force, earning the Air Force Commendation Medal. He received his law degree from the St. Louis University School of Law and returned to Pittsburgh, his childhood home, where his family operated the HP Brandt Funeral Home.

Since 1991 Rich has maintained a full time law office in Sewickley. He has practiced in virtually every area of civil law including litigation and transactional law of all types regarding business, personal injury, family, juvenile, real estate as well as criminal law. He was President of the Sewickley Valley War Memorial Association, a borough solicitor, and has represented numerous condominium and co-op association boards. In addition, Rich has taught as an adjunct professor at Robert Morris University.

Today, Rich's law practice is focused on estate planning and the probate of estates and trusts in the Orphans' Court.

Rich has built strong ties with seasoned full time attorneys in other law firms, enabling him to either partner with associate counsel or make referrals in all areas of civil litigation, personal injury, family, employment, business and criminal law. By such partnering/referral, Rich's clients can obtain comprehensive legal services from attorneys and law firms with a wealth of experience for whom Rich has the utmost respect.
